Radiation Oncologists, P.C. Meet the Staff

Katelyn A. Raj, M.D.

Dr. Raj is a board-certified radiation oncologist practicing at the Kaiser Interstate Campus in Portland, OR. She began her academic career at University of California at Santa Barbara where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biopsychology. She then earned her M.D. from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. After medical school, she stayed at Duke University and completed her training in Radiation Oncology. During her residency, Dr. Raj performed clinical research evaluating the use of a heart block in the treatment for left-sided breast cancer and use of amifostine in the treatment of head and neck cancer. She also conducted physics research evaluating organ motion in patients with gynecologic cancer. For her research efforts, Dr. Raj received several awards including the Roentgen Resident Research Award and Gunilla C. Bentel Award for Outstanding Physics Research. In 2006, Dr. Raj moved to Portland, OR to join Radiation Oncologists, P.C. She is dedicated to her patients and believes in providing excellent care in a supportive environment. She cares for all types of patients, but has special interests in breast, head and neck and gynecologic cancer. Outside of medicine, Dr. Raj enjoys running, skiing, cycling, and spending time with her husband, and two children.
