Kathryn V. Panwala, M.D.
Dr. Panwala is a board certified radiation oncologist at Mount Hood Medical Center's Radiation Oncology Center in Gresham. She began her academic career at Washington State University where she graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. She then earned her medical degree at the University of Washington. During medical school she met and married her husband Ben and has two wonderful children. Dr. Panwala performed her internship at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane Washington, and then completed her Radiation Oncology residency at Oregon Health & Science University in 2004. During her residency, she performed clinical research regarding the role of salvage radiation therapy for rising PSA after radical prostatectomy. She reviewed the experience of patients treated both through OHSU as well as through the Legacy system. Dr Panwala enjoys caring for her patients and strives to provide a comprehensive individualized patient care plan that emphasizes patient decision making and quality of life. She provides care for all cancer types and has a special interest in breast, lung, and prostate cancer. Outside of medicine, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family.
